hello, thanks for accepting me to the group.
I have a JCB 3D-4 , I bought a new radiator and transmission oil cooler recently, took the old rad. out, no oil cooler just a steel tube where I believe the cooler should be, there are no blanked off/joined together oil pipes anywhere near, can anyone tell me where they come from? there are 3 connections to the cooler 1 either end for the pipes and a threaded hole between them, any help grateful

What’s the serial number? If you know it!

Try this, I’m guessing someone has removed the hoses to the cooler.

Yes that is supposed to show where the hoses go on the box! I will see if can get a better diagram.

On this diagram I would say the two item 8,s are adapters, 1/2 bsp i would guess this the area you should be looking to fit your hoses.

Thank's for the info, I'll have a look this afternoon, it's much better when you know where to look

Found it, they have connected the pipe in a loop, difficult to find under all the crap, but it basicaly comes out of the one hole and goes back to the other hole, does it matter which pipe goes to which end of the cooler? or is it as simple as the one on the right goes to the right hand side and the one on the left to the left? and lastly the threaded boss in between the two connections on the cooler, is that just a drain of some sort? and I'll screw in a block end?

Yes I would say so, the parts listing for the threaded boss is plug.

That will be a rare bird that, a 3d-4?
Where they a wider front bucket, and a larger non-extending back end? When I had my 3cx I seen a 3d-4 in the manual or parts book, but never seen one in the metal:unsure:
