Seen as the world has gone mad i thought ill ask here.

Im after a little bobcat for my yard and home. Is there anything about?

Im hoping of a 2t or less weight wise to keep it so it goes on a normal plant trailer

Apart from walk-behinds, about the only ones under 2 tonnes are Bobcat 443, 453, 463 or S70. Good luck finding decent versions of the last two without re-mortgaging, or the first two that haven’t been rolled/ cannibalised or generally abused beyond belief. I‘ve been looking for a 463 for a bit myself. There’s a few Opico Skidsters about, but they don’t lift a lot, and I’m too lazy to walk behind one all day.

If you can find one, a Bobcat 463 is a very useful tool. I have one for exactly the jobs you describe. NO, it’s definitely not for sale.

Mine has solid tyres and unless the ground is very dry it gets stuck very easily as soon as I take it on soil. Pneumatic tires would reduce this problem a lot.

Good luck with your hunt.

Im expecting it to be diff contols that im used to as i used a cat years ago on joy sticks n last 5 years or so ive used a case which has loader controls on the forward reverse arms...i quite like it but alas id prefer my own so ill have to learn to like the arm and foot controls....so long as rest of it is good.

Some of the gehls, use the loader controls on the forward/reverse leavers, so may be similar.

I did a bit on a Case a few months back. You could switch between H pattern and joysticks on a switch. Couldn’t work the H pattern at all, and it’s not often I’ll admit that.
