Who's is the bag of fog?

Is that foul drainage for that job in the heavens? I thought they had now took the restriction on steep falls for foul drainage out of the regs when using pvc pipe.

Do you mean with regular brown soil pipe or is there a different pipe for use on steep falls ???

You must have more stuff in your yard than mine now😳

Quite possibly.... at a count.
Skidsteer
Forklift
Telehandler
MF65 tractor
Zetor 12045
Stothard and Pitt Roller
Screener
210 Kommie
2x 2t Dumpers
6cly Major
Landy Defender
And a Scraper

Edit, forgot the 555 backhoe loader, and Sykes Water Pump.

And that's just the random s**t awaiting the workshop...... Think the active fleet now is 4x diggers, 4x dumpers, Compressor, Trackloader, Tractor and f**k knows what else.... getting silly for a one man band 😂

With clay pipe if you put in too steep the water could 'outrun' the solids and cause a blockage. There was a limit to the steepness of falls in Part H regs hence backdrops etc etc.
Now with PVC pipe the idea is I think they are so smooth/impermeable/slippy that even if the solids did get left behind the next lot of water would push them along. They have taken the max fall out of the regs for PVC pipe to my understanding.

We always run everything at the same fall for the self cleaning ability I didn't realize that the plastic pipes weren't so particular about it

@Smiffy I'm 1:80 at my new place out of nessecity due to existing invert depth. I test before I backfill but sometimes such a shallow fall worries me. Been in a month or so now No problems.

I don't think that's to bad some of the drainage I've seen fitted by the eastern European gangs has been all over the place ran level then can't meet the existing manhole so a 3ft piece of 1 in 1 God know how long it lasts beyond getting paid

Should be O.K - 1/80 = 1.25% - long as you got access/rodding point then whats worse case scenario.
The controllers allow 2% as a minimum here in France and we often have to lay at that for one reason or another and dont get issues.
We used to have 4% as a max but they have done away with that now for some reason ? have they done the same in the U.K regarding steep falls ?
