hi excuse me if I disturb you, could you tell me how they are used for which motor scraper are used, in my parts never seen, what types and what fields of application, from the little information that I have found I believe there are 2 types, one from farmers towed and pushed by tractors and a type in which the tractor is integrated into the crawling bucket, sorry for the curiosity greetings to all of you.

I could not find the discussion, however I did not know that fiat allis had built you could tell me the models. such as the largest scraper ever built, perhaps caterpillar, I still believe that these machines are no longer used, perhaps more convenient the combination of tipper trucks, dumpers and mechanical loaders, compared to a machine type scraper motor scraper with appropriate thrust and tow, perhaps more useful in agriculture than in the industrial construction field or in mining, am I wrong?

in the right application and job site, a scraper fleet is far superior to excavators and dump trucks apparently ... unbeatable for the right muck shift ... (y)

thanks for your right comment, I'm not a professional like you, however the excavator is undoubtedly a very versatile machine, in the hands of a capable operator and with the right tools, I repeat the scraper I've never had the chance to see it in action , I trust your authoritative comments from veteran professionals in the sector, thank you sorry. thanks for the technical details.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ..... depends what profession you think I achieve in @barracane

Yes excavators are good at moving spoil, but as said, in terms of shear volume and speed, in the right job site (and weather) scraper boxes are unbeatable

I drove both motor scrapers and tractor and boxes in the late 1960s and 1970s
a fleet of motorscapers in good conditions and fast hual road would shift a lot of muck in a day.
I was on one job shfted a million cube in a few weeks with 6 scrapers
If the going was wet and a short haul tractor and boxes where better I use to like cat 68a and box
photos of 2 different scrapers I drove
