Iv currently got a TCP high tip dumper which we use on all of our jobs, its handy for loading skips and moving material etc, the little thing is a noisey fucker! theres no bonnet and the single cylinder Kubota engine throws out some amount of noise!
Im looking to upgrade to a new dumper, maybey one with a 2 cylinder water cooled engine that's a bit less noisey.
Does anyone on here use these machines, what have yous got and any recommendations?
Here is some pictures of the dumper helping us lift steelwork into place on our current project.

I don't think any of them are particularly quiet.

I have an old cormidi with a yanmar diesel which is fairly loud it really fast tracking and good at turning but lift is slow and doesn't always empty it's skip fully. To be fair the revs are very high on it but hydraulic lift is very slow at any less revs, but it goes like took 1st gear is marginally slower than 2nd on the jcb, and the the second gear is a decent walking pace although it does slow down as the day goes on whereas the jcb is just constant

Also have a JCB htd5 which doesn't track as fast or turn as well as the cormidi but is a better all round machine also a diesel engine it's quieter than the cormidi I have, lift height is slightly higher and near enough always empties it's skip unless it's really sticky. It's excellent on fuel

I've not tried any others been debating selling the cormidi and going for a slanetrac with its 1t capacity but it's 750mm wide compared to 700mm for the cormidi and 690 for the jcb.
I think one of the hinowa the skip moves away from the machine the tip near enough the middle of a skip but think it's closer to 800mm wide

Are they going to be able to produce these with a diesel engines much longer
I know that woodchipers and stump grinders with similar size diesel engines can no longer be economically produced due to the emmision equipment required

Are they moving over to petrol?

We have some other breed of one that you stand on the back of but still an air cooled diesel. I’m sure that these types of machines run from smaller and lighter with petrol engines to a bit beefier with an air cooled diesel. Don’t know for absolute sure, but doubt there is much of a market for water cooled
Diesel at these sizes. Ours is modern and has a good hood covering up the engine but it’s still loud. I always use ear muffs.

Keep your tracked dumper buy a 1 ton high tip wheeled dumper?

Iv been considering a cormidi c60 high tip, what model do you have? I think a new machine will be marginally less noisy with a bonnet and modern exhaust.
I know what you mean about the skip not emptying fully, that's a good thing about the TCP dumper, the skip goes forward past 90 degrees.

There are water cooled versions available, they will be less noisey, my mini digger must produce almost half the noise of the dumper, Cormidi and wacker neuson are both producing water cooled versions.

I suspect that the cormidi c1200 will be very expensive.

Neil, Stevie Walker has one in his showroom, perhaps give him a call and see if you can get down and see it and give it a try?

erm I’d probably delete them photos from the public domain if I was you 🤦‍♂️ If your local I’d give Mogman a call next time you need something lifting! 👍
does look a bit like the job you would do behind closed doors

It's a 2008 C6.50 which I think is equivalent to the newer c50. It just doesn't tip over far enough to clear properly to be fair it's an old hire machine, so has had a hard life. I'm going to sort out a hydraulic oil service and probably have a look at the pins but doubt that will help empty the skip.
On the newer ones I'm sure the 60 lifts slightly hirer than the 50

I'm sure they are around 810mm wide, which personally makes them too wide. The same issue with some of the hinowa and one of the kobelco micro diggers at over 800mm they are just too wide to get through side entrances

I've got a TCP and it is bloody loud. It also vibrates like crazy and is not nice to use all day. I was actually looking the other night and it looks like some of those messersi dumpers are water cooled. I was thinking about wrapping some kingspan around my one to try and get the noise down a bit, would probably get a bit hot .

Listen Dave, its whatever works for me that matters, I enjoy a challenge lifting awkward things into place, when theres an element of danger it keeps everyone on their toes!
The photos will be staying put and will not be getting deleted!!
