Tilt attachment for buckets??

Alright guys, iv been looking into a tilting grading bucket from Lemac (anyone have any experience with them)?

Whats the thoughts on these things? does anyone have one and what are they like?

You will pay a fair bit more but I would save up and go with a Helac type - they are bullet proof and much smaller, will fit down a trench - and tilt 90°

I was very tempted to go for one of these when I first had my Kubota Kx71-3. I kept holding off and after trying a proper tilt and rotate Engcon unit that won the day!!

For 1.2 to 2.8t I love my Powertilt. That rsl just looks clumsy.

I have a Lemac tilting bucket, hell of a well built thing, and that’s also it’s problem, it’s so incredibly heavy! That might not be the case on a smaller bucket, but if I was looking at buying one then I’d certainly check the weight of the buckets when comparing, as overall weight is a big consideration on any machine, let alone a small one.

Harford attachments make powertilt’s also

Exac-1 I've always found to be bloody expensive. I'd recommend Harford, especially as the coupler on their tilt hitch is the excellent wedge-type Pro Lock- your buckets are always tight.

I think I recall a price of around £3200 for a Harford powertilt.

there's also these little units, but have restricted tilt ... IIRC 30 degs

I would look at the weight of a tilt bucket too ... I have a Geith single ram on the 8t and its a hell of a lump on the end.
Dont know how a tilt ditcher adds up weight wise compared to powertilt and standard ditcher

Do you loose anything fitting one of them? Like power or dump height? Would it be a bad idea on a micro?

I’ve gained extra reach and to be honest I haven’t noticed any loss in power the pros of the tilt far outways any loss in my books as it’s suited for my sort of work

And that is the nail being hit by the hammer....suited for the work you do!!!
My 8 ton Kobelco is used mainly on big bulk work where the Engcon would be no benefit. On the 3 toner it has never been taken off!!
