Lake district absolutely rammed today, couldn't believe traffic coming in on a66 this morning. So much for staying in at home
Thought the same myself, been doing a job today down by the river in the centre of town, and the park was and footpaths were rammedLake district absolutely rammed today, couldn't believe traffic coming in on a66 this morning. So much for staying in at home
Same here in Lancs, forest of bowland full of all the usual muppets...not used to single track lanes etc. Honestly like a summers bank holiday. Crackers.Lake district absolutely rammed today, couldn't believe traffic coming in on a66 this morning. So much for staying in at home
I am going to stick my head up again. The figures of 500,000 or 250,000 deaths are pretty scary if they include people who would die anyway or not. There is an overlap, but again, no one really knows what it is. We are not being told about the underlying conditions, but someone losing there life at 41 with this and an underlying problem that they might have lived with for many years is pretty scary for many. But not scary enough for those walking down Brighton Prom this afternoon. We was asked to stay out of pubs, not everyone did. Now they are closed. Something like 20% of USA is on stay a home orders. How long before we are asked the same?
Over the years I have been in various business forums locally, I have a network of people I regard as friends that bounce different ideas around and also it keeps me in touch with what is going on in different sectors. There are some pretty weird request being made in property at the moment. Warehouse space that has been empty has in the last 5 days been taken, specialist airside property that the industry wants to give the keys back to the landlords is seeing non aviation users suddenly want to acquire. I have an idea what is going on but haven’t yet been able to confirm it. I suspect the pictures of the army moving coffins is a possibility in this country. NHS are panicking. Schools set up to provide day care throughout Easter holidays. Government about to print and spend a whole chunk of cash on keeping the money flowing. Borders and travel restriction throughout the world.
This is either a James Bond plot playing out in real life or perhaps, just maybe, a serious world changing event.
Social isolation when required might just become a new norm. Lock down in Italy doesn't appear to be working!
In Italy it is killing the old, in Amsterdam the hospital is full of young smokers on life support, what underlying condition is your problem, high blood pressure, obesity? There is one big fear in the medical profession. In all the stats, 1% of the people dying are young and fit. They can give you oxygen to keep you alive and hope that your immune system kicks in to clear this mucus on the lungs. But something like 45% of these cases result in death. At the moment they have no answers as to why this is taking men at a far higher rate than women.
Worried, we should be! This is something new.
Isolate - stay calm - worrying yourself daft is not useful
That...is prob best advice . Find something to do. Enjoy the weather get some jobs knocked ,off try and not get obsessed in the news...Isolate - stay calm - worrying yourself daft is not useful
It will have to be plague pits. They say it has already got to that in Iran.Worked for a bloke involved in a local authority. They've done mock pandemics in years gone by he said the biggest problem was always what to do with the bodies.
we'll be under marshal law if the tossers don't shape up and do as they're askedWhen will people learn

I'm planning to stay at my yard if we have a full lockdown. Loads of stuff to do there, get everything tip top etc. Will suck but better than being stuck in some pokey flat! Biggest killer will probably end up being people going mad.
