That looks nice and if you get it for £5k it will be bargain of the century. There's nice examples going for above £10k now and that one looks to have the "rare" engine side panels. If the inside is as tidy as the outside then that will be one to keep for sure.

It seems very straight. Yes both side panels. Its showing 10k hrs. A good total original machine thats not been messed with.

I get offered a lot of old 3cx machines. Sadly as a retailer I couldn’t get to involved as probably have to much liability for issues but I would love to buy a couple for stock

Yes i would get them in stock. They may end up like tractors going for silly money

Could you not "trade sale" them like the used car dealers do with old stuff. No warranty etc.

Do you know legally as a car trader there is no such thing as a trade sale. legally they are still responsible to sort issues.

Can you sell them as spares or repairs to avoid problems as a dealer? Is there an export market for them, or is there more money selling them to collectors?

Export market usually strong for older machinery with v little electrics. Be interesting to see what happens in a few more years to 2000 onwards machines re export.

They’ll be a lot of old machines been dragged out of the nettles and sent to auction to fetch top money that is for sure.

I can’t believe what money 3cx’s are making at auctions still, my first 3cx was a p12 S reg, sold it in 2005 and they are still making exactly the same money at Leeds last week as when I sold it, amazing really!

New prices have gone up a fair bit since then i guess that keeps second hand values up.

Yeah they have gone up a lot in the last 15 yrs, so much so that they are near enough uneconomical to buy new anymore!

Mate of mine just spent 20k on a 3cx. Got to say, you sure don't seem to get a lot for your money with a backhoe. Maybe I'm just biased to track machines though- a backhoe would certainly be next to useless for my line of work.

If find a tidy one they are probably a very good investment
