Electric fuel pump, the wires to it just out of view at the bottom, take left hand hose off and turn on ignition!
Could this be the problem ? i hear the pump noise but obviously cant be 100% it is working efficiently ? is it worth replacing that and the lift pump ?

I had a similar problem on my 8010, there is was a small inline filter that had got crap in it and it was blocking the fuel supply. Its before the main filter, possibly before or part of lift pump.....

That is the lift pump basically, unless it’s an addition, it might have a failed mechanical pump on the engine, but if this is the case you could bypass it and use only the electric pump!

I am over in the uk at this moment and so i can cheaply pick up a new lift pump and the mechanical pump on top of the diesel filter, do you think its worth buying and replacing both ?

Thanks , i will look into this, i cant see any other filters at the moment but i think my plan is to replace the lift pump and electrical in line pump and see what happens , do you have any other possible ideas ?

Top of the filter, would be a hand pump for helping to bleed, they do leak! But are only o rings👍🏻

was about to say the same thing - top of filter would be a priming pump ... lift pump (if mechanical) will be on the side of the engine block, probably

It was a while ago, but on my machine there is a really small filter, litterally plastic gauze in a plastic housing, i would guess before the lift pump, that got clogged with some small bits of wood/leaves from crap that had probably accumulated in the bottom of an old jerry can. It was really easy to access and check. Just follow the fuel line from the tank and see if you have something similar.
