Presumably if you were a bit clever you could have it set up as a UPS for the essentials circuits ( LED lights / Heating / Fridge Freezer / CCTV / Internet etc) and then use Genny to charge it up.lots of the yank off grid-ers use these battery packs and are always extolling the virtues of different set ups on a weekly basis usually .. ppl like Ambition Strikes, etc.
they're not cheap options for very occasional use though - - have had my little Hodna 25+ yrs and can burn a lorrajuice for an equivalent cost - will run all essentials for the very limited times it's needed![]()

Anyone who can't cope with not shopping for less than three days deserves to go hungry
we shop once a fortnight-ish, so wouldn't even notice
Fully agreed.
I've a suitcase 3kv Hyundai at home which Is incredibly handy and simple. Once I'd swapped all the crappy lines out for Decent etc stuff and binned the battery
That and a DJI 1000 power bank means I'm good indefinitely..always have 20L of E5 as well.
Always keep 20 L of drinking water. Plus we've got one of them mini filtration bags.
Always have plenty of gas on hand. I'm not a prepper but it's common sense if you live in the sticks I reckon.
A 48-hour power outage is a good way of testing your metal. It's surprising how many things rely on 240.
Communications is quite a big one, so starlink is a good help. Most mobile networks are only good for 24 to 48 hours. Max
