Trying out my expensive batter compacting attachment today.

The rollers awesome,backwards,forwards all day on a drop of fuel and quite a lot of swearing
Havent really used the digger in anger yet,it’s very quiet and seems smooth,need to get it going properly to get a real idea,will keep you posted.

I like the tidy shape of the batter , it takes more than a new machine to achieve that !

cheers, cut it with the old Kubota and dressed with the 3cx( one bucket at a time),This was a nice one to do,almost therapeutic for a few days.

Bloody hell, you like to live life on the edge don't you?

I'd have had to tie it properly to the roller and the lifting eye. That wall at the bottom

Completely daft question prob...but what have you built? A moat? That's a retailing wall with a nice batter down to it?

The trouble with nice batters is that it seems to attract livestock

That's something we say about here in Sheffield..."Sheffield was built on, it'll be reet" ... obviously yorkshire accent needs applying

Second day of cleaning a pair of ponds out. Skidsteer was just the ticket for the first. Hopefully the second doesn’t have too many soft spots either.

Not very often you can drive a skid around a dry pond in October!!!

Sadly the second pond was much softer, leading to a frustrating day of haymaking with the JCB whilst not getting stuck.

Mercifully the third and final pond only had a small depression too soft for the digger, and was much smaller overall. Felt less worried about tracking into the soft spot.

Took the e27 down to pop a pipe in and build this last bund, too tight under an oak to use the JCB. Man, I’d love a tilty on the big machine!

Finished off by sticking some telegraph poles in for him to build a bridge off. Just got to run the skid and e27 a few miles back to the yard and wash them off
