This is my bugbear, I think lowering the speed is a necessity to protect anyone on or near the roads. But when there's nobody there and the roads clear get the speed reduction removed. Or next time you'll think there's nobody there just can't be bothered to remove the speed signs and you cruise through but turns out they are there.

mile after mile of nothing, other than 50/40 restrictions - no closure and all cones removed behind barriers ... no cameras so bollaux to sitting there at a mind numbing 40/50 mph ... see it all over the place ... was it Blair or Major promised no work = no cones/restrictions, decades ago ?

I do confess to feeling slightly smug on the purchase of the I3 electric car for school runs. The poor Range Rover has seen another drop of go go juice since we have returned from our summer holiday. I did use the petrol range extender for a trip to Bristol last week. But for the 60mile daily school commute, it is costing about £2 in electric.

I do confess to feeling slightly smug on the purchase of the I3 electric car for school runs. The poor Range Rover has seen another drop of go go juice since we have returned from our summer holiday. I did use the petrol range extender for a trip to Bristol last week. But for the 60mile daily school commute, it is costing about £2 in electric.

This fuel hike i think will change all forecasts about I.C.E vehicles hanging round.
I also think it will be the final push of a cliff for our economy.

Personally I enjoy sloshing 85L of gogo juice into the tank. Feels terribly naughty now. Similar to blasting down the outside lane in a V6 past the rows of Tesla's sat at 68mph in the second line . Each to their own. It's the small things in life that make a grumpy mechanic smirk yeah I'm probably a bit wonky up top.

Oh you might want to check your daytime rate as unless you run fryer at night you might be getting screwed.

I was sat on the M5 at 80 last night and plenty passing me like I'd stopped... same on the 449DC from the Coldra at Zooport, up to Raglan ... with a 50 limit in places for absolutely zero reason - **** it - no bodies milling about at the side of the road at 20.00 last night - take the limit signs down FFS - I wanted to get home

I believe the 50mph is to do with central reservation. As per usual nothing gets done

We charge the car and a 20kw battery system overnight at about 9p per unit.

Solar panels as well. What I am watching out for is a 7kw wall charger as the car can’t charge from 10% to full in the cheap rate on the trickle charger. I can give it a little boost during the day when the sunshine’s but those days are slowly getting shorter and fewer!!

When you say watching out ? You mean cheap? Or? Try local wholesalers ? 300 quid should get you a 7kw np

twats should be in the nearside lane .. not hogging the middle lane ... if they can't stand the heat get the **** out the kitchen -- cause chaos for all the 'proper'/real vehicles and drivers
