Some of these big contracts can be amazingly flakey. And they force your hand to proceed at risk as if you don't the penalties start on day dot. Although in this case if you thought it was a risk you would be better of have the hire machine ready with a machine purchase agreed in principle

It's just easy as it's ready made and fits.
I can't say I've been impressed by genuine Avant attachments we have had on hire.
The flail mowers floating design could follow work better (TBF I think they have improved it now, we had on with chains to hold it and it didn't half crash around without actually following the ground, I think now they have gone to a parallel linkage.
And fixed forks with a fixed axle is no good as much as I hate JCB forks on a telehandler they would be a better idea for the Avant.
Also the bucket didn't seem the best quality. I know they are trying to make it light but I could pick it up.
