Kubota engine knock

Ive got a new doosan dx10 which has a knocking/ticking sound on tickover and low revs. Its a kubota d722 engine.

Has anyone experienced similar and if so what was the cause?

Just normal I think, my E10 is similar. Won't hurt to air your concerns to the dealer and get them to look it over.

They are already on with it but just wanted to see if anyone has had similar. My e10 doesnt have any knock or tick hence why ive been onto doosan about it

How so?

Mine is all the time from cold to hot but goes at high revs.

My bobcat e10 is totally different.

Have an odd sound at idle, not all the time. Then recently also had a different pump noise.
It's only just started that in the last week the engine was couple of times then sorted itself the pump comes and goes but sounds different to normal operation.
The engine can't be down to fuel as it's only filled from the same cans that have only ever had forecourt derv in

Mine has a bit of a whine sometimes from the pump? Oil reservoir is full.

I just wear headphones. I think we hear the noises more as you're so close to it on a micro, there's nothing between you and the engine really.

think you'll notice the bang even with them on Doob

This noise you can hear from 10meters away.

The dealer is having to go back to doosan to ask their advise on what to do next.

The machine has gone back and is having the engine pulled apart to identify the issue....ill let you know how we go on.

Yes and no. As in yes theres one there if i need it but ive told them i dont at the moment as ive quite alot on that doesnt need the micro and im moving yards so itll only cause me an inconvenience.

They have always given me a loan machine in past even if ive only left mine for the day.

Yes, it came back after been tweeked, it still wasn't right so went back again and a new part was fitted to the fuel pump and that cured the issue. Ive since heard it be a common thing on some kubota engines.

My friend has an E10 with what sounds like the same issue. They’ve had a look at it and said it’s fine when clearly it’s not.

It will need a new fuel delivery valve. My e10 and dx10 now sound the same....Nice and quiet.
My dx10 has a tier 4 engine but the e10 is tier 2. Not sure on differences but they are both sweet as each other now

I’ll let him know, seems like they’re hoping it lasts until the warranty’s out.
