Apparently the new bobcats are suffering dashboard faults on the larger machines atm. But I have no idea if the littleuns are suffering too.

Ha ha, me neither (and I’ve got one, but as Doobin says, not the z)!

FWIW I’m very pleased with my E27, but the paint is crap. If I’d seen my actual machine in the flesh before buying I’d not have spent the money on it. From an operators point of view as a machine it is very good though, powerful and smooth.

I’d have probably bought a kubota tbh. I’d waited and waited for my Bobcat, and only saw it in the flesh on the day that I had a qh fitted.
The whole thing was complicated by me having an S40 hitch to allow me to pick up an existing tilty (as opposed to whatever hitch the manufacturers/dealers offer as standard) - I sourced that myself which was subsequently very late arriving. (Asking the dealer to supply an S40 hitch and buckets was like talking Welsh tbh - totally f****ng clueless).
It subsequently made it difficult for me to reject the whole package when the brand new machine had peeling paint over rust, and rusty bolts/aerial etc. They are pretty badly finished unfortunately.

Mine had a scuff above the cab which they never sorted (but fitted me a case drain and a few other bits, I queried invoice (not what I was quoted) and they never got back to me a I never paid. . So I’ll call that quits I guess)
The e27 has a more powerful engine than the z version and therefore greater capacities. It’s not a straight comparison.

I had no problem (same dealer as monkeybusiness ) getting a mix and match hydraulic hitch to suit my existing buckets. This had multiple problems but those were whites fault.
I’m on 135 hours so early days. The Kubota looked a bloody good machine but the interest free finance saved me a few k so bobcat it was.

Do you know what the power difference is between the two models?

We looked at the Volvo seemed a really good machine but disregard it because of no float blade, wished I hadn't now.

Volvo seemed underpowered when I was comparing specs.

That sounds very much like you’ve bought something that you're happy with?

No I’m not happy with the decision I made I actually wished I never purchased it now

Got to say the demand for used bobcats is a lot stronger than I would have imagined they do sell well

e27z 40 kg heavier, 3hp around 10 nm torque less, around 300mm less reach or can spec longer dipper to match standard e27 but the bucket force is half according to book figure

I'm surprised the used market for them is so high considering the small jump for a new machine with zero percent interest. I might put my dx10z on the market and see what happens
