At the end of the nineties I worked for an agency that amongst other things looked after some of the marketing for Honda power equipment.
They launched some new ATVs (trx450 from memory) and we had a warehouse full of them, which we took to a big dealer launch at the Royal Agricultural College, put on display at various county shows, gave to Logic so they could develop attachments, dropped off to journalists etc.
Half a dozen were taken to an army base for trials. When they eventually came back, they were all knackered (camo’d up, drilled full of holes, racking cut/welded etc) and one was like the one in the pic above. We were told that it had been chucked out of a plane and the parachute failed - if they’d said it was run over by a tank we wouldn’t have questioned it either!
