I’m thinking of trading in my 2 trailers .
Both ifor one is the 1054 plant trailer and the other is the 12ft tipper . The tipper about 18 months old nd the plant about 3 years old .
What is like to know is there any plant trailers out there now that can carry more weight than the 1054 worth a look . ?
Also is there any other tippers on the market worth considering ? Is the nugent an option ?

I though the 1054BT was highest capacity trailer until you go into specialist lightweight plant trailers? I have never been offered good prices trading in, private sale always seem better.

Mate has just swapped his 1054 for a Nugent. Raving about it ! Says loads quieter and similar payload ? No idea on spec only glanced at it yet

Nugent seem to be the way, mentioned it afew times, my mate is a big dealer in them l, I’m working near his yard at the moment, you hear folk driving past with their ifors etc to trade in but never hear them coming back past with the Nugent - they tow silently!

Quite a bit more more money. I like my Nugent beavertail, but it would take a lot to change me from a GH1054.

More importantly- it's not lighter. It's 735kg with ramp door compared to 665kg for the Ifor with it's standard full width ramp.

Ifor is the only real option for moving the 2.8t machines as far as I can see. Why are you wanting to change yours?

For a tipper trailer I'd look at Brian James, don't use mine much at all but seems well built.

This was my exact comment but not dug into it he swore payload was ok. Now I'm going to look further.
Agree 1054 is damn good trailer and 70kg when you that tight on weight is enough for DVSA to screw you.
