I just lined the Mrs up for a picture then realised I had read the title wrong 😱
Glad I'm not only one who read it twice. Thought mmmm, this could get out of hand very quickly, do we really need to be going there this early in the program, then realised it was my eyesight and mind at fault. Oops!
Perfect chance to test an upload from phone. 👍

This is as far down the tilty route as it's worth going on a sub 2-tonner, IMHO. Hardly use it, but when you do need it it's worth it's weight in gold. Paid a grand second hand.
I have it mounted between the quick hitch and the bucket. Yes, more build height but it's only for scratching about anyhow, and better have it quick to remove it from the equation when not needed.

I’d really love one on my ecr 25.its the cost that puts me off.got no idea what it would cost to put 2 auxiliary services to end of boom complete with switches on cab lever controls.i think I’d also want the short dipper option too to keep the machine reasonably stable.i know you can run Tilltys via a single hammer circuit via electrics but something else to go wrong.i reckon it would be easy to spend well over the half the original purchase price of the machine on a set up.also have 9 buckets and none of those would fit either.

Mine runs off the hammer circuit with buttons on the levers that control the electrical bits!! Spent £6k plus vat that included 3 buckets. Have since purchased some other buckets and adapted what I had!
The Scandi bucket design is a real eye opener and is a great piece of engineering!
Once you go tilty you won't want to go back!

Hi Nick i have a rototilt on my kx27-4 and have never taken it off all you need is one servo controlled hammer line and the rest can be done on the tilt i did not spec the short dipper and once you get used to it you will not notice it,
as far as buckets get as meany in the deal as you can afford thy are the best investment you will ever make the steel is so hard i have a grading bucket 3 years old used all the time and it looks like it is out of the box .
dont get me wrong it is not cheep and it takes a wile to start to work a new way but you will never go back the only thing is it will make you laze as jobs get so much easier
the one thing i will say dont go for a pup system go s type that is the way forward.

How do you find digging footings.will the tilty go in the ground without rubbing in the side if the trench with a 12 or 18 inch bucket

most footings i dig that need to be deeper than about 750mm i dig with a 450mm bucket and are not a problem. I can dig down to about 900mm with a 300mm bucket in some part due to the shape of the rototilt buckets being long in the base sorry but i cannot praise the buckets enough expensive but worth it

I have a deep dig 300mm wide bucket for services and drainage. 450 mm bucket in trench no problem. I went S Type hitch direct mount as I didn't want the extra hitch cost or weight. Not had to take the unit off in the 6 months that I have had it. Only downside is the collection of additional items I keep adding, ripper has been great. Levelling beam to be added!!
