I just used ChatGPT to make me a cv, unbelievable how easy it was. I just put in minimal information and it spun it into something that would’ve taken me days to do. Easy to tweak it for applying for different jobs as well

Been playing with Claude today
So far I'd say it's deffo better

Needed to design a basic trapezoid steel plate with a weird notch pattern.

Gave it all the dims etc. it spat out an SVG for cutting in no time at all. Ok yes a good cad guy be quicker but I'm not ...ace for mocking up and sketching ideas

Just spent the last 2 hours playing with Claude. (Not in a gay way). Just signed up for 3 month trial. Tried and failed at drawing schematics however its uncanny in sorting written info and linking to images and making short work of stuff. Not far off on its pricing also. Also managed to make it draw a picture of me on a tractor.

Spot on - it pulled the photo from my profile picture on our website. Looks like the brother I never had rather than me though. Scary stuff. Been pissing about with it for work. The less YOU actually know about a subject then better it appears. Once you really know your stuff it’s easier to pick holes in it. It’s like talking to a clever bullshitter at the pub ….

Tried again the other night pricing was way too cheap. Missed a few things but 20k under.

We where mucking around with it and it came out at 50 % of what we estimated. It also for forgot the concrete and the job was pouring concrete pads. It did get better with more prompts though and we had to add details as it's working for a tier 1 company and on a very high risk site.
And it seems to price to work in mrs miggins back garden.

Exactly... It can only go off information that's publicly available and guess what...What prices are generally put out there ? Public prices . someone doesn't put their commercial prices on the line do they?

I really want to upload customer lists and order history etc. But I simply just do not trust it...

Thats only half true. Whilst no one is publishing the big pricing there is reams of information and calculations for risk factors available. Along with data for work rates and health and safety requirements and so on and so forth. This is evidenced by a few prompts sorting the price out very quickly and getting a suitable answer. This information had already been included in the initial request. So you could run yourself into trouble if you didn't know what you where looking at.

Yep agree. Just starting out using that it could become a big failure
