Wtf is a jam scone?
Don’t worry your pretty little head with it, keep working on making fire and knapping flint in your cave mongo xxWtf is a jam scone?
Here in Devon we just give the knife a lick before it goes in the jam pot- just make sure she's not watchingJust from a logical point of view (with no dogs in the fight/extra toes/a penchant for piracy/inbreeding/wishing for independence etc etc) surely the jam is easiest to spread in a thin layer directly onto the scone and then dollop a mountain of cream on top rather than dollop the cream on and then wipe it back off with the sticky jam knife?
Can’t believe this is even an argument - idiocy of the highest order![]()

So while I've been in bed my thread has been hi-jacked by a few insomniacsJust from a logical point of view (with no dogs in the fight/extra toes/a penchant for piracy/inbreeding/wishing for independence etc etc) surely the jam is easiest to spread in a thin layer directly onto the scone and then dollop a mountain of cream on top rather than dollop the cream on and then wipe it back off with the sticky jam knife?

A very diplomatic response! So while I've been in bed my thread has been hi-jacked by a few insomniacs
But, I'm with you Dan and your explanation.
However, I am concerned that no delegates from Cornwall have expressed their views. Maybe you scared them off
So here is Essex we can do it either way because we all like a 'cream tea' treat

However, if we are 'on tour' down the West Country we have to be careful which way we do it so as not to offend our hosts![]()

Can only imagine some of the tyre kickers that show up to a large polished caravanSo many of you will remember that we finally sorted out a very nice static caravan for Ryan to stay back in March '26.
Well prior to this I got hold of a very nice 'fixer upper' Hobby Prestige caravan from 50 odd miles down the road

Picked this up for a 'bargain price' from the seasonal site where it was used as a holiday home.

Will it work

So simply converted it to my 13 pin job on the Navara.
Pumped the tyres up tested the brakes and towed it home. It went like a dream.
But when we got it home and started the fixing up process, realised that it wasn't really suitable for our grandson to live in. The breaking point/deal breaker was when I tested the LPG water heater, it pissed out water - frost damageWe then bough a much better static caravan
So fast forward to where we are now, and have decided to sell the superb German built Hobby Prestige. Many of you messers will know that there are people out that 'walk amongst us' on FB MP who are complete tossers
So decided to advertise it on a good old eBay auction. That was last Sunday and do you know what, it has gone almost viral. It will sell....View attachment 82685

Really hope that someone can put it to good use![]()
