Bike trip over and back doing a bit :)

First time we have put a kingspan compact filter in, hoping it might be a good system, looks quality, quite deep but nice high neck to cut (thats guaranteed watertight) as opposed to adding risers to others, see how it goes getting it in the ground tomorrow.

bloody hot today, melting the tar !

Finally took her out to work! And in some respect I’m glad I waited for it to dry up - continued on from where I got up to on site drainage earlier in the year , I pulled off site as the ground was pouring in everywhere the deeper we got - no fool anymore so I know when to call it!

First impressions are it’s a powerful machine, very fast and smooth - almost too smooth really, but I’ll adapt to it I’m sure.
Aircon isn’t great, I know it’s been hot but my 13yr old JD is much better and 3 times bigger cab!
The buzzer for hitch/password etc is horribly loud - ear piercing! Will hunt the buzzer down and get some tape on it asap! And I feel the cameras are abit of a fad, screen is too small to really see what’s going on so much, deffo at a glance anyway!

Other than that Its a vast improvement in most aspects over my previous 57c!

The ratio of glass to cab volume is what is important to air con. Tractors always beat diggers and telehandlers.

love your co-pilot ... less chance of him climbing out at the wrong time or hogging the seat

I never get the camera thing - forget its there tbh 🤷‍♂️
I have one facing rearward on top of the tail weight and another looking down my off side, as without the boom fully raised you can't see the mirror ... hardly ever turn the rear one on - always on my off side view - come round if I want to see behind/go backwards

Titivating some old van racking to go into a new to us van tomorrow. Never tried spraying before (apart from the containers with a Schutz gun). This was some old water based dulux stuff. Mixed it 25% with water and spat it on at 9bar 🫣
Think I need to tame the air down a bit before my next go. Must have a pressure regulator knocking about somewhere

Fk me im knackered. 40 hour shift.

The missus isn’t feeling too great either, poor lass. Really been through the mill.

Still, at least I now have a genuine reason to buy a remote control scale mining excavator. He can help her dig the veg patch in a few years!
