So what about construction ? We’ve not only had to suffer the hike from red to white , now we are suffering the higher cost of the white . Why not have construction back running on red ? Are there any bodies that act on our behalf in the interests of all construction sectors like the NFU do for farmers ?

that level of duty only applies to deliveries of more than 2300lt .....
savvy folk have always bought in at 2300 or less with a 5% duty levied .... ;)

I always bought at 2300 and sometimes had 2 or 3 deliveries a week --
local supplier was perfectly happy 'to play the game' -
a sale was a sale and made the RDCO record keeping so much simpler - for him and me

and why wait a month to cut the duty, 'til the 15th June ? ... do it today FFS

this is a more interesting quote? ................................................................................................................................ 👇👇👇

There is the civil engineering contractors association. But has nowhere the members.
They do campaign for stuff like this and do get an audience with parliament. But I don't think they have a huge amount of clout
