Messy job - about 1m deep of mixed stone backfil just full of water, ended up digging with 600 bucket through to ditch as it was just boulders and concrete that were pissing water out like youd dug through a supply ! happpy to get it into a sensible state for night

And this is why you don’t backfill with loose oversized concrete etc , it just traps water and makes a mess of things ! My yard was raised by the previous owner like that, nightmare digging anything in it for the first meter! Good job in getting it all tidy again

Turned into a bit of a job this one. Don't usually do domestic work! Garden full of everything- scrap, concrete every bit of rubbish you could imagine. So far have had 40+ ton of concrete out alone. Then last Saturday dug out and loaded away100ton for a garage and all away around the house as it was pretty much up against the walls!- nice to get it back to a blank canvas for the customer.

Two loads of this concrete floor broken up, loaded and tipped in a local yard f.o.c. Some hard standing for lorries being created, it’s swallowed all the bricks, blocks and rubble from our house project.

Thought this was pretty good going for a Saturday shift

Hand dug a good few ton out and run up the stairs in buckets, few ton of type 1 back in, shuttered and poured slab for paving.
