reckon there'll be at least a fork carriage going on there
Nah, he’s been fitting rams onto massive scrap handlers. I suspect he’s seen something that will inspire a front end more like this!

What man as done, man can do, what never has, maybe
Been a bit of a on going project
Rototilt (who I do the transport for the shows) have had a hospitality unit commissioned along with a roof viewing platform and a front deck but the top and floor deck ws made from a shipping container floor and roof cut down and repurposed for the job, but because it was only painted steel and they also used box section in parts couldn’t be painted inside and out it started to hold water that then rusted and would of made some nasty stains down the box also it was very heavy for what it needed to be😳

So enter Mogman

I put forward a lightweight but strong design (shaved over 500kgs of the viewing platform)and by using aluminium hand rails welded instead of steel scaffolding tubes and connectors made them a 1/3 of the weight too😉
IMG_2018.jpeg
Then had the upper and lower decks fully galvanised
IMG_2019.jpeg
Before re-decking with the original deck it has an integrated 100mm kicker around the perimeter of the viewing deck with cut outs at both ends to accommodate the stairs (need to re-work them too to please HSE) and make some aluminium handrails for them too that fit better then the original ones

As a lot of you know I do a bit of work for an air con company delivering and lifting units into place
Some of the units have to go to some tight spaces like this
IMG_1905.jpeg
Anyway needed a trailer that I could tow behind the lorry and car🤔 but would also be covered so was thinking tautliner but need to remove the roof so I can lift units straight up so need a Dutch style tilt trailer🤔 after a long search bought this
IMG_2681.jpeg
Great I thought but it’s 100mm too narrow and 150 too short in hight 😥
Got the sheet off it as will have to get a slightly bigger one made
IMG_2693.jpeg
So the big coffee table made the job a bit easier making it all straight and a bit bigger😉
IMG_2765.jpeg
So fast forward a few days (other payed work getting in the way again 😆) and I welded sockets into my original trailer so I can still revert back to a standard flat bed, fixed the drop side hinges to the sides
IMG_2791.jpeg
This is the main reason for the purchase
IMG_2689.jpeg
The whole roof concentians to one end
Now waiting for the new sheet to be made sent the dimensions to them yesterday

A follow on from what I bought today

Cut 2.5 meters off the back of the body this afternoon
IMG_2817.jpeg

And sat it on the trailer to see where it sits🤔 needs 20” off the back still and lowering to the trailer deck
IMG_2816.jpeg
Got to cut and make some locating things next so when it gets crained on the trailer it will find its place👍
