I was never that far north in Queensland but around 20years ago I once took the back road from Cairns to Cloncurry on my way to Darwin and my experience from that tells me they are lucky to even have a sealed road never mind a bridge

"Plug-in Solar" isn't legal in Oz either, but that's a hang over from the assumption the pins would be hot when not connected.
The "Anti-Islanding" capability of the inverter (if done properly) makes this safe, but our legislation can't cope.

since grenfell anything remotely fire related has become massively regulated and rightly so in some instances but imo it's got out of hand.
So stuff like high rise balconies with solar mounted will cause fits in certain circles....

An example... A double door set hung in normal application is like 500quid. Call it fire rated and you are 2.5k for the exact same object just it ticks all the boxes and the installer has had training etc .... Once again the gravy train is running away and there's a lot of folk on board

I've already been figuring out how much I can get on my garage roof ...25year guarantee ..Aldi middle aisle is gonna have to be extended
And oh can't be used in a power cut ..we'll see about that
