What did they think they were putting into it?!

Complicated fuckup, but customer had an empty tank as he’s converted to ASHP. Fuel company were given an order by the previous owner for a different address but managed to deliver to the old address. New owner was away and there was 2 failed deliveries and on the 3rd visit the driver accessed via a neighbouring property and climbed over the fence

I have said this before. The supermarket margin on fuel since Covid has been pushed up. I could not buy 1000litres a month cheaper than the supermarkets. Apart from this month, my delivery is usually 4 or 5p cheaper than there price.
The less said about Euro Garages the better. But I do wonder if when they purchased Asda they might have something to do with the above and the rest have followed suit. I am not sure that the Monopolies and Merges report into this has ever been finished!!

I ordered heating oil for a lady up the road that we look after. Had a long conversation with the supplier to work out who is taking the pi$$. It was quite alarming to realize how little oil is stored locally. He reckons that the main local depot has storage for 2 days and they are constantly running Artic tankers in daily. He said biggest issue is people panic buying. He can normally deliver within 2-3 days.With heating Oil he currently has enough orders for the next 10 days. But he has to tell people daily what the price will be. He was quoting Derv at £1.90 per litre plus VAT.

Can't help but feel we aren't been told the whole story....gov coming out all tough about pricing etc but nothing actually done...

My neighbour Terry who lives opposite is 89. He came over today for a cuppa and asked what to do about his heating oil. He’s been waiting for the price to go down for a few weeks now. And now on 1 bar on his gauge
Told him to just phone them up and order 500 litres. He’s very vulnerable and has run out before. Silly old bugger has no concept what is going on on the real world
I’ll keep an eye on him and have loaned him a barrel of oil in the past
