I don’t know if you are MAN enough tbh - when they ask you for your previous purchasing history I doubt they’ll sell you one (they don’t want to devalue the brand having ladyboys and gypos driving around in them apparently)..,So, M.A.N it is for my next van then![]()
As said before imagine the fella who plonked the design for that on his bosses desk.I thought they were ace!
That’s because if it’s fully loaded it won’t go beyond the end of the lane and backThe thing that pisses me off above all else with Leccy milk float designers is the fact they still make it look like a ICE.
With a van they could go full forward control, properly maximise the load space.... they never do.
But that fucks me off too..... Leccy warehouse forklifts will last a day..... and they are stop start, literally the most energy consumptive needs. That’s because if it’s fully loaded it won’t go beyond the end of the lane and back

Milkfloats too worked well for decades.
Have we lost the technology? or are we trying to maximise profits and skim on battery capacity? Lets face it a ICE van is about 1.5t.... build your chassis and cab out of aluminium and stuff underneath with batteries..... then send your low center of gravity 4wd rocket to nurburgring.....
Ah, but the non compliant tanks are all being phased out and replaced with EV dronesExtra weight in forklifts is advantageous. In a van it is counter productive.
Any why are we bothering with all crap when there are upto 8 air tankers circling the gulf. And I'm sure Russia's tanks aren't euro 6

The UK is responsible for less than 1% (approximately 0.8%–1.5%) of annual global greenhouse gas emissions. They aren't all e.v. alot of the drones are running small engines.
And seeing as it seems to be another war for oil. I can't see the end of oil consumption coming any time soon.

Depends, well placed weight is better.... Imagine the nose heavy grafter with the weight distributed better.
Leccy vehicles have there place, and in cities good leccy vehicles could be game changing.

I'd go a step further tbh. There is ever reason local authorities should be able to mandate.... Infact the already can, take bus lanes/chyscolpaths.This ...and your other comment above.
We went to electric Lindes in 2008. Still got them now. Still happily do a full shift on original batteries. Electric for stuff that works. ICE for when it doesn't . Things should be used and bought on their merit...not a government mandate that isn't required.
