sounds a fitting punishment to me

if the death penalty was re-instated in the UK there would be a queue a mile long for Pierpoint's job -- right behind my left shoulder ;)
and I'd sleep like a baby (y)

Imagine how much money thus fella has saved the country...just a shame he left it so long
segregation has cost the country millions for years .... all murderers and paedos should be totally exposed in the 'open' prison population and given no 'special' treatment, whatsoever .. see how long they last (y)

The "beyond all doubt" is going to be a problem until our legal system can manage a good few years without being caught out when they cheat 🤔
but there are many many cases where there is no doubt whatsoever - Huntley, Sutcliffe, etc. ............ WTF did Sutcliffe cost the tax payer ? :oops:o_O:mad::mad:
last figures I read some time ago put it at over a £1m/yr - each, to keep these 'waste of oxygen scum' in relative luxury and pensioners, etc., have to choose between eat or heat :mad:

That's always the problem.

However, if you scan down the list of "whole life orders", there is no one I'd piss on if they were on fire.

First two names on your link Rosemary West and Lucy Letby, Rose West was as guilty as sin, Lucy Letby there is considerable question as to the safety of her conviction, 50/50 isn't good enough to take a life in my opinion 😉

Normally I'd agree, but 50% of what?
I didn't follow the case too closely, but I thought it was pretty solid.
She was found guilty of 8 murders and 7 attempted. The jury couldn't agree on an additional six.

That said, there are plenty on that list where zero doubt exists (Anthony Russell for one)

My 50% was just cherry picked 😁
The Lucy Letby case there was a lot of suggestion of rigging the evidence to be absolutely sure of a conviction.
Myra Hindley met Ian Brady, Rosemary met Fred, there must have been a fair element of luck for them to find their perfect partner.
These days we have the Internet to link up people with similar interests 😯
Inevitably there is going to be more of a public demand for justice which is all well and good as long as you know without a shadow of a doubt that you could never be waiting for dawn when you will die for something that some other bugger did ☹️

I have read a lot ,,i believe she was a scapegoat ,100ish babies died whilst she worked there7 whilst she was on duty and many after she was removed ,no real evidence ,all circumstanal,it's a dodgy conviction
