used to out regularly with the cranes uprighting vehicles ... trailers mostly, on some of the IEs up on the hills round here .... got a dab hand at popping 'em back on their wheels .... weren't allowed to leave curtains open as the trailers had to be dry inside for product

might do a dozen in a day after a rough night

complete fk up .... WTF was he set up on ??? .... looked to be simply straddling a road way with his jacks on crap .... the way he went I doubt he had much in the way of pads/mats under him

That's the worst one I've ever seen, happened local to me, cycled past it as a kid about 15 mins after it happened, skinny bucket on the neck, on its side and the excavator facing forwards with its arm, complete with bucket resting on the skinny bucket on the neck, dipper was stuck up like a battering ram.
And that's exactly what it did to the foot bridge.
When we got there, there were no ambulances to be seen, expected the driver was still inside the wagon.

However it seems he had climbed out of that used to be the windscreen. Got to be once of the luckiest men walking this earth.

A colossal f@$%ck up from last winter these guys were doing the muck shifting on a bridge project not far from here. We were on our way to the inlaws so I naturally had to take a few pictures they had a 450 Hitachi on site and a D6N dozer but I'm not sure how they got this one out in the end. When we were on our way back in the evening there was a telephone company person there locating a fiberoptic cable that paralleled the road as they weren't sure where the cable was in relation to the excavator. I went by a day or two later and they still hadn't retrieved the excavator but eventually I went by again and it was gone only to return with the counterweight smeared in our finest Lacustrine clay.
