Jack was here all day Saturday helping after I’d done the Parkrun 😎
We shifted loads of logs ready for another “beast from the east”….
IMG_8481.jpeg

And had plenty of tea and biscuit breaks 🤪

IMG_8478.jpeg

Jack washed the Mondeo which still comes up like new 😎
Then we washed Sharon’s Yaris Cross, did the weekly checks and fitted new Bosch wipers ready for the winter crap 🤪
IMG_8482.png

EONNext told me that I had 90 mins of free electricity-get in ⚽😊
We turned everything on drawing about 7kw…
IMG_8480.jpeg

…and even fully charged the new PylonTech and the other 6 🤪

IMG_8483.jpeg

And finally settled down with the log burner complementing the CH - nice cosy end to a busy day ☺️

So Ryan rocked up this morning with his Corsa D. Now he has qualified as a 360 operator, other tickets and now Streetworks, he is doing loads of miles every day going to various sites
Any in preparation for the MOT, "Can we just put those 2 new tyres on the front?"
So we went over to my brother's place, and Uncle Graham showed him to to do it.....
IMG_8484.jpeg

Proper man cave with gear everywhere....
IMG_8486.jpeg

Plenty of lube gets the job done....
IMG_8487.jpeg

Careful balancing got each one to "zero zero".
We rocked up with a bribe from Greggs - sausage rolls and cakes :ROFLMAO:
Back to my place to stick the wheels on with copperslip. Then Sharon did us toasties for lunch
More granddad time and another job jobbed.

So a few week ago, me and Jack set about the overgrown hedge at the back of my barn. In that was a rotten tree stump. The Arb guys took down the dead black willow for me about 7-8 years ago...
IMG_8347.jpeg

So pulled it over with the FLT...
IMG_8348.jpeg

And set about cutting it up ready for the bonfire.....
IMG_8362.jpeg

It left a big hole that we crawled through to the neighbours and gave the hedge a big haircut....

IMG_8351.jpeg

This was before we set about it - all the stuff went on the bonfire...

Would you buy an unbranded knock off blowlamp ?
I know some have them but seriously a brand new rear handle Stihl domestic saw would only be about 160 quid .
Get the real mccoy. Or for firewood etc just get a cordless saw. Top handles are designed for two purposes ...arborists and diyers with anatomy modification wishes.

Sorry just sick and tired of all this chinese tat flooding the market..grumpy rant over .☺️

Na these are different though. I've seen the cheap Chinese s**t, these aren't the type of thing you'll buy in Tesco 😁

They are decent quality, start better than my sthil does and i have one now over 4 years.

I've just ordered another one 😁

And your 254 must be getting on a bit..!
It’s a late one 1999. Did a season with it then, then doubt it’s been out more than twice a years since then . Although I did quite a bit of logging at home in 08/09. Just treated it to a new chain oil cap :)
