Customer brought this *thing* last year, complaining that the hydraulics were shot and in need of a full rebuild. On the surface it looked like that was the case, however after a good and thorough inspection i found that it was mostly just bad hoses, no fluids in the system and a few bits here and there to replace, surprisingly the pump was in working condition. Told that to the customer because it could be a cheap fix, but the dumbfk demanded i give him a price for a full rebuild of the hydraulics so i gave him a quote (estimate for full rebuild was 19000 tho likely to be higher should we find any major issues) mostly to get him off my back. He took the machine to a different shop and it was there for almost a year, they f-ed up so much that it didn't even want to start. So last Monday he gave me a call and told me he can't afford to keep investing into it and is willing to sell for the price he got it for (7500 eur) and, long story short, i gave him a hard time so i ended up getting it for 5500, then spent 500 on parts, new fluids, a burger and a pack of smokes then proceeded to fix it up myself. Took me around 5 hours to replace all the junk parts and do a basic service on it (engine oil and filter). Also managed to find a good electrician who rewired what the previous shop had messed up, that cost me 350 eur and a 24 - pack of beer. After testing it out i found out that everything is in working order and that the machine has less then 5000 hours on it. Sold it this morning to friend who does soil sampling for almost triple what i paid for it.
