Did you test the pump?
Not heard much about the M18 but plenty of good about the m12 one

Unfortunately nothing to test it in as they came to the office but was hefty piece of kit. Absolutely dwarfs the m12 and stated output is 6000l an hour. If it managed half that it would be impressive.

An M18 battery can pump 24 tonnes of water… I don’t think so somehow!!!

I highly doubt it but don't know if there is a flow adjuster on it so 4hrs run time is possible but not at 6000lt an hour. Tbh 6000lt an hour seems unlikely especially for prolonged use. I can definitely see their uses but considering how light it is in comparison to a decent sub pump I don't think you would want it running constantly as I wonder about it's life span.

I can verify that the 12v one is very good. Keep meaning to try one of the cheap Chinese's dewalt copies for pumping out kerosene IBCs. Generally water pumps will last quite well on kerosene as long as you remember to rinse well with clean water . We use the M18 water pump on fuel all the time and the first one lasted a couple years

I’ve watched them doing live jointing on underground 3 core in a big stepped trench - they spread the conductors with plastic wedges before removing the insulation etc. To be fair they were totally safe as had rubber gloves and a fishing umbrella on standby ‘just-in-case’…
Not a job I’d be in a rush to try!!!

I’ve watched live works on big cables .. scary stuff and not for the faint of heart. You have to be super disciplined and rigid with procedure. No good for me as I’d turn around and touch something or try and pick my screw driver and touch my head against something 🤯

I work on small live cables (boilers) quite often and it’s still shocking (pun) how much of a smack a 3amp cable can give you. I think that it only takes 0.75amp to kill you in the right scenario ?
