It's a Rover SD1 V8 - 3.5Ltr with a Vitesse model's mechanicals grafted into what was a very tidy shell (the Vitesse's shell had 'died') - they're my favourite car
(those and 2.8i XR4x4i Sierras) - have had dozens of them - ran many SD,s, scrapped out a lot !! 
they were a very fast motor in their day with loads of grunt
and a great 'sound track'
