Was surprised by the weight in the shop, but like a lot of tools I found it felt a better once it had a battery in itApart from the weight![]()
surely that Disco isn't 3t or did you have a trailer on?Seem to have been avoiding the heat today by spending money![]()
Went out first thing and stuck a couple of extra sleepers on the bridge, just didn't like it with a gap in the middle. Takes a d4 commercial, unlike the Albert Bridge in London- missed the 3ton gvw sign, another 80 quid to the bloody mayor
Did a few errands, including picking up a new milwaukee framing nailer- bloody hell does it drive 90mm nails!
Got back to the yard, sold the log splitter I bought at Newbury Auto jumble, decent profit for no work, and I kept the new looking top linkMiddle aged couple came and picked it up in a nissan leaf of all things

but they came when they said they would, with the agreed amount, so who cares
Went inside, browse on Facebook- roof tent of the type I wanted came up, local, good price, log splitter money in my pocket- I'm on my way![]()

By pure chance it turned out to be on the farm where a mate keeps his 6 wheeled Austin (with the mower hanging off the back in the last post ), it's a small world sometimes
See all sorts of 'contraptions' on Facebook for lifting rooftents on and off, guy lifted it on with a telehandler, I lifted it off with the forklift. Life's just easier when you have machines![]()
3240kg gvw according to Google, which is pretty much what I'd have said of the top of my head.surely that Disco isn't 3t or did you have a trailer on?
Hows the D4 working out for you? Has it been reliable so far?3240kg gvw according to Google, which is pretty much what I'd have said of the top of my head.
Ironically even with my tools in I'd imagine it sits at less than the weight of an empty 7 seater- those seats are heavy!
It's been good so far, but playing up a bit the last weekHows the D4 working out for you? Has it been reliable so far?
that's a full 520kgs more than the P383240kg gvw according to Google, which is pretty much what I'd have said of the top of my head.

Doesn't surprise me, I think d3/4s are a weird hybrid of monocoque and ladder chassis, so they almost have 2 chassis! Big lumps of car but doesn't feel like it to manoeuvre to methat's a full 520kgs more than the P38![]()
new chariot ??Well if this one is nearly as good as the last one I had (last 3 pictures), and depreciates at the same rate, I'll be very happy![]()

Yeah, can even see where it was sign writtenLooks a nice bit of kit. My next door-but-one neighbour has one very similar. Is it ex National grid?
Big hoist that 1Few more pictures- had a dumper for the landlady's job so moved the muck heap, about 25 loads. Interesting lifter supplied by the builders on a job. The driveway after being surfaced, complete with custom stainless acco covers and pipe cover!
LRO Show 5 fire campsite![]()
Found the back of the 110 got in a right bloody mess when camping so I spent this afternoon making a plywood shelf unit. Bit tricky trying to make the most of the space while still being able to get it through the door....
