Also, what’s going down Nov 5th?
ah - forgot - you're in Serbia and it won't mean anything to you .....
it's a celebration of the night Guy Fawkes tried (and failed :cry:) to blow up parliament in 1605 (obviously had a bunch of twa*s running the show then too )
we have fireworks and BIG bonfires on that night ( and the smarter amongst us use it as a great night to 'dispose' of all sorts of sh1t you wouldn't dare burn on the other 364 nights of the year) :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:🔥🔥

me SIM is bollo-ed (hopefully - every other function seems fine) so got zero/nada service - I can see the mast across the valley from my patio ;):)
eSim's are virtual some cards stored in the phones memory rather than physically. You can use them instantly!

I think I heard about that, never looked into what it’s all about. So let me get this straight, you guys have ONE NIGHT PER YEAR when you can light a bonfire as large as an Morris Marina and not get in trouble? Well I know why they won’t allow that here, we’d turn the whole of the Balkans into an ash pit

cheapest I've seen, but not sure on the 'covering' weight though  650gm/m2 is not a particularly heavy duty, but is twice as heavy as the tarp cover I made for the vertical bandsaw a few weeks back, so is relatively tough - a curtain sider's sheet is a kilo a metre, nigh on and they're tuff which is what most of these shelters are usually

I'd be wary, especially where you are. They need to be built like absolute brick s*** houses to stand the wind.
We got a price off a zap shelter. Yes wasnt cheap...but their build quality is something else.
I think you need to think of the canopy being similar to a steel building price....imo

well that all went fine -- back on the 15th for a consult and results/decide on the old gall bladder issues - had made a decision to have it out - HAD !! .. conversations today with consultant's clinical nurse, who said my bloods are yet again, text book, as far as the recovery goes, anyway -- no guarantees that even without the gall bladder, I won't be at risk of a recurrence of pancreatitis - apparently I'm what they call a 'gallstone producer', exacerbated by the Gaucher's preponderance to cause them!! so now back in a quandary -- and they have no idea WTF my body will do without the bladder there to store them???? o_O:unsure:
will get onto the Gaucher's association's head (who I've met several times - she's been here a couple of times) and see if they have any experience in it and if they have or have had anyone else in the same situation/have had their gall bladder removed - then make an appointment with my specialist consultant in Caerdiff .. see WTF he's had a change of tune?????

and now for a rant......
Phone's been showing no service since Thursday evening - Pam's is fine - both on same contract/provider - Vodafone
got onto my a/c manager late that night by email - he called me on Pam's Friday morning ... we assume the SIM has died - have had it for years ... they'll send me a new one.

he copied me in on an email to his customer services/care team Friday a.m. telling them to sort me a SIM and to put a divert on my calls & texts to Pam's, as I asked him to.
phone was quiet all day, so tried to call myself, from Pam's, expecting an engaged response - straight to ansa .. got a mate to call it - straight to ansa.

Manager / providers not in on Sat.s .... sent him an email expressing my displeasure , etc. tried to call him when I got back from Hereford - ansa his end🤬
Josh called Pam's phone, mid morning to pick my brains and said he'd rung my number and got some random stranger ??? o_O
So I called my number and got same random stranger, who was good as gold, once I'd explained it all.
his number was very similar to Pams, 'cept his was an 07788 code and Pam's is an 0788 -- rest of the numbers are identical, but the system doesn't recognise the final number in Pam's as it's already got 11 digits and ignores anything after that
Extremely snotty email to provider's customer services team, my a/c manager, CS's team manager and the guy who was supposed to have sorted all this last Friday lunchtime - and didn't !!!!
Has taken no less than a further four emails and two calls to explain to this dull tw*t what the problem is AND for him to 'get it' - I despair

" Good Afternoon, Graham,
Hope your doing well, I have just checked with the network and they have confirmed number 07831****** is being diverted to 077881*****0 as requested. ..........( NOTE THERE ARE 12 DIGITS IN THIS NUMBER) W⚓!!!!!! o_Oo_O
Please restart the device and try again if the issue still persists after a restart please let me know and I will escalate this with the network directly.
Once again please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Best Regards,

F*** "

he finally got it at the last try ........................

" Hi F****
the number you were instructed to divert to is 07881 *****0 and not 077881*****0
the person receiving my diverts is on 077881***** - the zero at the end is not registering on the system as it is one digit too many, due to the additional 7 inserted at the start of the number you have used

If you consult my a/c billing/invoices you will clearly see the number required to divert to 07881 *****0 which is my wife's number.

Please ensure this is rectified immediately. "

there were only so many ways to put it and he still didn't get it 'til then 🤬🤬
Divert working as of 16.00 and DPD have emailed me to say they have my 'package' (new SIM) - nothing about when it'll get here though :censored:

soooooooo annoyed that a simple instruction can not be carried out professionally and efficiently - my solicitor's been try to get hold of me, since Friday - got an email from him this afters, after he too had had a conversation with said 'random bloke' this morning :ROFLMAO: ... thank **** for email
other than that the day has gone quite well :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Since they've turned 3g off phone signal has been shite. Working in the Cotswolds today no signal all day phone or data

Interesting point that.
Been moaning this last week how crap signals are. Definitely no better than 10 years ago on voice.

Anything under 1000g/m2 for a stationary building is weak, yes it may survive a year or 2 but thats about it, at least from my experience. I had 1 that was 24m x 6m x 6m (length x width x height) as winter storage for the forklift and crane and while it was cheap i still think it was a waste of money.

so....... new SIM arrived at about half three - initially looked at it and thought - wrong ferkin' size - got the magnifying glass out and was sort of perforated for mini or micro :censored: ... Nokia is mini so popped it out as a mini - slotted it in and NADA  .... phone must've died  but absolutely every function apart from service is functioning perfectly - real odd :confused: .. they usually just die completely
slotted my original SIM into the cut out and mounted that in an old Galaxy S3 (I think it is) last used Feb '15 (when the Nokia replaced it - so not done badly) and fired straight up - removed the divert off it (which still wasn't working) and hey presto - 5 bars and several ansafone messages .... took me a while to remember how to drive the Samsung and there's a LOT of numbers in the Nokia that ain't in the Galaxy and've failed to get them to talk to each other, apart from the Nokia telling me it's already loaded the Galaxy's data - would not reverse load from the Nokia to the Samsung
gonna have to carry both, 'til I can replace the Nokia with a.n.other one:rolleyes:
