Annoying and you shouldn't have to but couldn't you have dry fitted them in the car park? There were only two of them. It's not like you dragged fifty in in bundles and found fifteen that didn't fit.

With hindsight yes but busy NT carpark just nosed out the path and grabbed them, never had them not fit before. Bit like dry laying bricks before you bed them etc they should just fit

There also right on limit of lift on the 5.5 ton, tested could extended out about 2 metres and lifting them up to stack on above ground harder than lifting them down into hole with blade braced close in.

Also they were dropped off under some trees so short of dragging them into the carpark proper it’d be a big unnecessary fath that when you’re trying to get done you just don’t think of. But from now on I’ll be checking on off load they fit

My mate went crushing at another company site, 800ton of rejects!!

This may be a daft question but did you try swapping them over?

Already cut out the bottom one to fit over the 90mm main and valves

Surely they done in a mould? How can they be that far out? Daft question prob

I can only think that they’ve been heavily handled while Green still in de moulding them or a moulds been distorted again heavy handled and they’re chucking out loads of rejects. Can’t be hard to qc them big Ali ring braced etc see if it sits in U channel

Normally get fp McCann from Travis or worsely never had a problem these where from Markovitz

It probably does. It’s just that it’s not 100%. It could well be that it’s better to only check every tenth one off the line and replace a few misshapen ones that make it through than check every one and have to charge more.
might be a bit more pro-active if they were having to stand all the on-costs of their fk ups:rolleyes::mad::mad:

Yeah. But if they're not compelled to, they're not going to be, are they. Consequential loss only goes so far.
Plus you'll then just be angry that the rings cost £500 instead of £400.

Have you seen all these black people btw? They're just wandering round all over the place like normal.

of course they're compelled to supply goods fit for purpose - they're in the business of supplying components that actually fit together .. who'd buy random bits in the hope they'd go together :unsure:

Ah an M3. Worth reading up on them, incredible history. In use for 50 years! Cost was 20 bucks iirc.

Seen a German M3008 in action a few years back similar thing.

Keep the pics coming @Smiffy it's on my to do list the overlord beaches. 👌🏻
Same.
Had a quick visit to Omaha 10 ish years ago in February, museum was closed and it was a bit nippy. Surreal driving through the village on the way in
