Playing in the mud chasing leak

Hoped it would be in the old chamber pipe work but nope it’s on the bit of cast from the valve back to the tank

No room to dig and at full depth on 3 ton and now need to avoid and protect pipe work

Trench sheets going in tomorrow. 5.5 ton coming and 1800mm ring sections once we’ve dug the rest of it out.

Temp tank is working well doing what we do best adapting and over coming problems

3” hilta pump doing well for
Fun plumbing :)

I can only just get out of local timber yard with my gx126, they have made it stupidly tight! The timber entrance/exit gates have some real big chunks taken out of them 😂
I've never understood the mentality of making entrance/exists tight but it just seems a thing we do in the UK...usually because the tit in charge has no real world knowledge of the room needed

I thought my new road gateway was tight but 16ft will go round so it can’t be as tight as your timber yard :)

My daily went whoosh/pop this morning and stopped. Just dragged it to garage behind Dmax . Dave reckons possibly injectors seals as it would fire up once oil cap removed …. Time will tell.

Now that's weird, on other thread I posted about our transit pickup having knackered engine, we think it's low compression, apparently common on this age 67plate but only 37K miles, we couldn't get it start for few few weeks and called out mobile mechanic from Forfar to look at it, thinking it was a ECU issue or fueling issue, he took off the oil cap to check the timing belt then asked me to turn it over it started up ok. I was thinking WTF but you saying it starts with oil cap off is making me think it could be related to something else.
Please don't give me any false hope

Injector seals was the hope.. but it’s likely a piston gone according to garage . It’s getting a recon engine fitted next week so a post mortem will be done on the old one before it gets send off.

that is bloody weird :oops::unsure::censored:o_O
too much engine back pressure in the breather system ?? - no oil cap = no internal back pressure

Haha I took a similar load to tip once, lads kicked off something chronic, but let me unload - they are a lot stricter these days!

aye - total basta**s here these days ... my attitude used to be " I can unload it into the bin (roro skip) or I can unload it outside the gate at 5.35, when you've all pissed off - your choice? " ... generally worked fine - not any more, 's like the 3rd Reich down there now - rarely go there and I do not own a 6' x 4' trailer :rolleyes: which you have to book in a week in advance :mad:
