Forklift Woes

I have been quite lucky with forklifts. Good job as they can be money pits. Our 99 Jungeheinrich has been reliable, and so has the Moffett. Not so lucky the 3rd time it seems. I bought this little electric one last year on a whim as cheap and local(ish). Needed the brakes rebuilding and a new seat, all normal stuff. Then had the drama with the digitial control box packing in, which after much hassle was fixed at a sensible cost. So far I am in to the tune of £1800+vat so still not too bad. Now its started misbehaving in forward gear - sometimes but not always. Fine in reverse so assume the the throttle (poteiometer?) is fine. I am guessing its the motor bushes/windings? I am fuzzy on electric stuff like this. It will hesitate and lose power when meeting resistance (like a mild slope). Need to get to the bottom of it. And then on Friday the brake pedal went really firm, then shat its fluid out the LH front wheel and lost all braking. Will look at that later.

Hi. Yes the lift beam is in use currently on the little FLT for weighing dumpys of scrap. Will get it LOLER on the next round later in the month.

Plenty of employees at the HQ end. Loler guy here anyway and charges by the hour so 15 mins to check it over and add to certificate list.

Roller bearing needed shimming . 2 of the 4 Turned out to be pretty badly fuckered with flat spots and very worn bearings.
More money ….
On the plus side, brakes fixed and contactors cleaned so it’s driving fine again.

what they come off like - usually right bar stewards to get off the carriage
