Hot here !

Fecking about in the commune - can't travel in the field in winter so managed to rough (as buggery) a ditch out in the driest going it's ever going to be, he wanted it a bit meandering round some old stumps - which saves me having to concentrate :)

Was in corfu last week, every day it was 35, deffo feels hotter in the UK at them temps, our buildings aren’t made for it.. bricks soak up the heat and stay hot for days afterwards, over there as soon as the sun set everything was cool to the touch etc, aircon is setup and working etc.
glad I put aircon in our house when building it, best thing I’ve ever done, being a barn conversion upstairs is basically in the roof so it gets hot v quickly!!

And todays job…

Finally started to tackle this drain, it takes all the ground water from the farmyard and houses etc about 3 acres of area and about 100 acre of land around it..
last fella was a real bodge!
I’ve had to shift over 2500ton of soil bund(which was surrounding the manhole and pipe run) to get down to it and work on fixing it up, manhole ripped out today and new base/pipe ordered to start piping it up tomorrow, will trace back about 25m of pipe which I know is knackard toward holding pond once MH is set.. hopefully that will be enough!

Thankfully the rings and lid are in good condition so can reuse them

or our soldiers in Afghanistan regularly 50c for those lads out on patrol
got up to 32C about four o'clock - in the shade - been some bit warm -
as said - we just aren't used to it and it's always in with a bang and gone again - no time to acclimatise plus always 'muggy' - not a dry heat

Dashboard said 29.5 when I sat and had some dinner with the air con on. Have considered having aircon in the bedrooms of new extension we’re about to start building but know nothing about it tbh!
Incidentally just having another mitsi 2/2.5kw unit fitted at work. All in (I've just gotta sort 10a supply) was £2.2k plus vat.
If I was doing a new build I'd deffo install some in bedrooms etc.

Wife likes it hot though.🫣 She'd have 30c outside all year!
