My brother just picked up an ex rental 2018 JCB 8018, hydraulics work fine but if you pull track levers fast, to move, the engine revs drop and it neatly stalls, if you pull them gently it will move but only slowly.
Topped hydraulic oil, adjusted track tension but still the same
Any advice?

sounds like it's 'dead ending' ... is it the same wit the tracks raised of the floor - blade one end, bucket the other - like this and try the tracks then ... may well have motor or final drive problems?
