Bit of steel advice needed

Need to support this section most of the weight is supported on the wall.
I was thinking 90x90 box plate on the bottom and maybe H section to carry the 2no 8x2.
Would 10mm plate be thick enough on the base plate ?

Or any other ideas did think about a timber column but unsure at moment what to call the front in

90 x 90 x 4/5 be fine - 10mm base plate perfectly adequate - fab up a U shaped shoe for the top and bolt through or staggered coach screws ... base can be through fixed with 12mm expanding bodies or 'wedgies' (or resin if the bearing isn't up to expanders/ close to an edge)

It's the camera angle the 2no 45x196 are level.
When I looked at the picture again I seen what you meant lol

Just done a ojob where we had to leave 4 acrows in as part the job had some do not remove stickers made up and left them in place supporting window lintels

looking at the specs on their 250A unit - it doesn't look to be inverter ??
it weighs 20kgs!! ...
also draws 32A at full chat (my inverter 250 from Phil Weekes draws 15.9A - runs on a 16A plug) -
only a 3m torch and equally short earth lead and gas hose (my 250 arrived with a good 6+m of supply line - ditto earth lead and gas hose and 4m torch).
last time I looked they were 100 quid more than R-techs shop soiled sale offering and on a par or a few quid cheaper than their std price
just msgd Phil Weekes as he's not listing any on fleabay ATM
been very happy with the performance of mine

The rtech 250 has been spot on for me. There's a bloke on a welding forum who's put well over a ton of wire through his with no issues also. I'm certain it's an invertor.

My mig180 has just had the power swich fail. Two months out of it's five year warranty but they are sending a new uprated switch FOC. Can't fault their service.

They also upgraded my leads free of charge as I said they where to short.
At the end of the day they are not really much better than any other Chinese offering and almost on the slightly dearer end of the spectrum. However I have heard nothing but praise about their warranty and service.
I am supposed to be collecting a landrover from my dad that may or may not come with a rotten bull head so have been looking at cheap mig machines. I keep circling round past rtech and back off in another direction then back to r tech. If a second hand one comes up cheap it is probably where I will go as they honor the warranty regardless.

As for a inverter migs I thought they had banned them and all that is left is the old stock being sold off.

Banned invertor migs?? Everything is invertor these days. They are more energy efficient, why would they ban them?

Knocked a porch down a few years ago ,2 brick pillars inside each pillar was a acro !
