Especially if it's a decent length extraction. That's not bad at all!!

Wish I was nearer I'd be down for a nosy or even therapy driving for a day 😆

On the machine clock it's 21 hours of work. I'm very impressed.

I only bought this machine for the grant funding, but it fits right in with my ethos of working smaller and smarter. Granted, we've had perfect weather conditions, but you really can't see where it's been. It's incredible the gaps it will fit through, which means you can take the shortest route each time. You'd never get a compact tractor outfit up these slopes without wheel drive on the trailer, and being 8wd and pivot steer makes it very manouverable which speeds things up a lot.

At £500 a day that's £62.50/hr, 75 tonnes shifted in 21 hours is £17.50 per tonne. Probably not commercially viable but given that the birch is selling for £65/t roadside and they got a grant to take the trees down anyhow, it's still a decent boost for the nature reserve's coffers.

Yes, the lorry is from FelledWood transport who are one of the larger players in the South. I think the driver said that lorry is off to Watford in the morning.

None of it its carbon neutral any more. It's all bollocks. You should see the volumes of diesel my forestry mate uses to fill barns with 'sustainable biomass'

Yes I reckon you're right - it looked lovely, shocking how small they look now- I had exactly same coulour/stripe etc on 1983 y reg with the 1800cc in it - different grill and bigger back cluster - happy days :)

Spent the week over in France…. Took the family to Disneyland , ready to get back to work for a rest 😂

loads of work going off in there, nearly all machines are top spec mecalec!
First time on easyjet - wasn’t looking forward to using them tbh, but very surprised how good they were - deffo fly with them again!

Messing about in the woods again,roughing out topsoil ,got another week of this.🙂
Plus a bit of tidying paddocks,definately enjoying the current weather.

Trying to diagnose at a distance, sister has a transit 2014 2.2 with 159k that was blowing oil out of filler cap - garage put a new seal on cap and sent it back, few hours later limp mode and oil coming out of cap , she has disconnected breather and it appears to be clear but breathing a bit, ke I say it's hard over whatsapp.... are they known for it, can it be blocked where breather goes into egr ?

EGR very common issue on the Euro5. Not had it blowing oil out filler though. Try the Transit Forum? Lots of very good knowledge on there
