Hi all
I’m Steve M
I have a Bobcat T3071 Telehandler I’ve had from new, had a few faults but for now I’m looking if any one knows what this mineral fluid reservoir fitted to the inside of the cab just behind my right side below the rear window please see pics It needs a top up but unsure what to use any info great appreciated. Thanks.

LHM would be my choice as suggested by the cap on the reservoir, the current fluid looks red in colour, maybe they used atf or a red colour LHM. It'll be a hydro transmission in that bobcat I reckon?

I would check manufacturers spec, as I have seen LHM lids on Thwaites dumper reservoirs and they use a 32HV fluid, the LHM wrecks axle piston seals!

Hmm, I could be wrong but LHM is basically a light hydraulic fluid not DOT4 which I would agree should not be put in a system designed for hydraulic oil. LHM can be used in power steering and suspension systems, I'd not want to use a DOT brake/clutch fluid in any of those system.
