A pal of mine is thinking about getting one of them cheap Chinese tracked loader for grabbing logs for cutting and generally pissing about on his yard

Was looking at one of these
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15680456...VRJVNC&hash=item248247c5d4:g:gtkAAOSwb0BnYCDO

Don’t get hung up on the seller as if he goes for one it may not be from there🤔

For £3k not dear, the way I see it it’s metal that can me welded, rams that can be re rodded, and and engine that can be replaced, all if necessary

The only bit I’m concerned about is the track rollers/idlers

Was just wondering what you guys think 🤔

My thoughts are similar to yours! They look a lot better than the Chinese micro diggers.

Was discussed a bit here:

My main concern is that the only label I could see in a picture claimed 8.6hp. That will be underpowered for sure.

Mog, these are bit nearer maybe?

They've sent me a 10% off? Offer

The fact that they have an oil temp gauge and a cooling fan suggests that they are not just thrown together. I like.

I was going to add my concern would be the lift ram coming loose and severing my leg, but it seems they have fitted a solution to this so all good 😎😎👍🏼😎

A lot of the cheaper Chinese machines only have direct drive track motors, rather than final drives, so don't like being over-loaded.

If you believe what a few YouTube videos show the tracks stretch very quickly and keep falling off
Whether this is true or whether it’s down to abuse is anyone’s guess.

I think the captok ones came from watts auction late last year, sold new, I think one or two mach pro ones turned up at Burnley auctions around the same time
There were loads of these Chinese skid steers at the last Euro auctions sale, both tracked and wheeled.

I have a little Bobcat 463 skid steer with bucket and forks etc. It weighs about 1.2te so is about the same size as the latest offering of Chinese machines. It is unbelievable useful for everything from shunting a trailer, lifting firewood to footing a ladder if it’s at a bit of a dodgy angle.

The forks are not much use as a workbench as the hydraulics sag with it being such an old machine but it is a invaluable lazy man’s wheelbarrow.

Everyone should have something similar 😀😀😀

I hear you, but can't justify (to myself) £3+k on a wheel barrow :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

If you had one outside your house door in the morning you would step on to it and it would be so useful it would never be more than 10 paces away from you through the day. 😀😀😀😀
without doubt ....
and I'd probably have to fight Pam for it frequently once she sussed it ....
I would still get the perpetual Q though --
" what do you want one of them for? "
