Yard hardstanding

Sounds like not enough cement and not enough overlap. Also if there was existing organic matter in the soil you've no chance as it impedes the chemical reaction in both cement and lime.

This was done as a layer of recycled 80mm down crush and then the stabilization kit run through that rather than into existing ground.

Paddock sweepers usually run slower, have wider brush spacings and that one looks to pick the material up carry it over the top of the brush and throw it backwards.
This is the worse design. Jcb telehandler mounted ones do the same.
Bucket brush style where it flicks it straight back into the bucket does a much much better job.

Helpful info - but disappointing! Is there a PTO powered brush collector on the market that’s any good ?

If you own it it makes perfect sense to concrete it, for what your getting it’s a cheap long term way of making the best yard possible! 1 cube will get over 6m2 so it’s not bad value really!
You can do say 1/4 each year to spread the cost?
I’ve exactly the same issue on my rental yards - they have all got to go concrete eventually as it just doesn’t last(plus I can charge more rent )

Yes concrete is your best and cheapest (in the long run) option going to stick another 300m2 down in the very near future (bought the mesh last year)

Concrete only goes up in price so in a few years time you you’d of wished you did it a few years back

Sadly yes had to buy this lot
but did have and used up 3 full packs (20 a393 in a pack) on my shed base and yard so far,
sold the other 2 artic loads as didn’t have a yard at the time (was seconds a bit rusty) from bucans concreting yard in Byley

Concrete only goes up in price so in a few years time you you’d of wished you did it a few years back

Unless you do it now and then that's not going to be a problem in a few years time.... but only at the time you do it if you do it soon

So how does this one work then?
Only on set of pipes but 3 hydraulic functions. I can see 2 x 2 way isolated so assume the side brush can be turned on and off, so you have to get out of the cab to tip the collector or are the brush and tip rams on the same circuit so that running the brush in reverse will tip the rams and running it forward closes them?
My hydraulic knowledge isn’t great.

Side brush and main run together? Pull lever for tip? Or reverse like you say.. lever may just turn off the side brush if not needed.

Cant see that having to get out of cab to tip would be not annoying at all.

The ones I have used tip when you put the brush in reverse. Has a little diverter block in the system to control it all automatically.

That would seem likely from looking at the pipe set up.

the lever valve closes flow to the tip ram BTLs .. t'other valve block looks like a cross line relief valve for the motors, so they don't stop dead when you shut off the oil flow ... down stroke on the rams looks to be through the main brush motor's supply, keeping it down when the main brush is running

Thanks @V8Druid , figured you might have some insight on it. Its local to me, so IF the mini Tele goes ahead then this might work nicely on it with addition of euro8 receiver. Needs 30lpm and the Manitou is 40lpm... Although you will lose some of that when moving I guess as transmission is hyd.

looks a cheap buy to me ..... just looked at the FB ad to see if there were any better pix of the hyd.s .. seen some right crap for a more than that

Listing isnt that detailed. Have had plenty of info back from seller. It is 2.5m wide and based on that the manufacturers advice on a current model of that size say it needs 50lpm. Not sure how well that is going to work on a 40lpm machine.
