No explanation of how the vans charge the digger lol.FFS " ".....demonstrated how intelligent energy delivery enables electric plant to operate for a full workday, overcoming one of the key challenges of construction electrification.” "
so in other words an admission that "electric plant" is incapable of achieving a full shift![]()
" Early data from the trial confirms that in a two-week period, the electric excavator saved more than 100kg of CO2, equivalent to driving a car 600km. " bet that DOES NOT account for the charger vans charging/delivering, etc.
what a load of old bolllox
I'm more worried about the operatives job title. No explanation of how the vans charge the digger lol.
60kva Genny in the back? No wonder can charge in an hour![]()

whoopee ****in' doo" Early data from the trial confirms that in a two-week period, the electric excavator saved more than 100kg of CO2, equivalent to driving a car 600km. "
Surely an electric digger still has hydraulic fluid, track oils etc anyway, plus grease...I’m working with a squad of boys that do water board work on water storage tanks . They work for a serious sized outfit . As they can’t leak oil of any sort out of a digger around these tanks they looked into using an electric machine . After considering it they decided it was so impractical that they’ve resorted to hand digging right around the tanks .![]()
Remember- grease is always optionalSurely an electric digger still has hydraulic fluid, track oils etc anyway, plus grease...
All those fluids can be changed to a bio alternative I’m assuming , and the grease won’t run off itSurely an electric digger still has hydraulic fluid, track oils etc anyway, plus grease...
the 'Drema spent its life in water treatment plants from new - hence it's on bio-oilAll those fluids can be changed to a bio alternative I’m assuming , and the grease won’t run off it
What will a charge cost if you have to pay for the van to turn up, the elec (however it's generated/stored) and then have the driver twiddle his thumbs for an hour (on the night shift)?FFS " ".....demonstrated how intelligent energy delivery enables electric plant to operate for a full workday,
exactly ...... and if as said it has a 60kva genny in there!!!!!!!!What will a charge cost if you have to pay for the van to turn up, the elec (however it's generated/stored) and then have the driver twiddle his thumbs for an hour (on the night shift)?
If the van has a battery in it, you'd have to factor the recharge time for that into the price too.
