FFS " ".....demonstrated how intelligent energy delivery enables electric plant to operate for a full workday, overcoming one of the key challenges of construction electrification.” "
so in other words an admission that "electric plant" is incapable of achieving a full shift :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

" Early data from the trial confirms that in a two-week period, the electric excavator saved more than 100kg of CO2, equivalent to driving a car 600km. " bet that DOES NOT account for the charger vans charging/delivering, etc.

I’m working with a squad of boys that do water board work on water storage tanks . They work for a serious sized outfit . As they can’t leak oil of any sort out of a digger around these tanks they looked into using an electric machine . After considering it they decided it was so impractical that they’ve resorted to hand digging right around the tanks . 😳

Surely an electric digger still has hydraulic fluid, track oils etc anyway, plus grease...

All those fluids can be changed to a bio alternative I’m assuming , and the grease won’t run off it

What will a charge cost if you have to pay for the van to turn up, the elec (however it's generated/stored) and then have the driver twiddle his thumbs for an hour (on the night shift)?

If the van has a battery in it, you'd have to factor the recharge time for that into the price too.
