At least moving it should be easierSpent most of the day battling this poxy old clay pipe surrounded by concrete with gas, water and electric right next to it...
...finally got it all done then realised I need the chamber further forward so got to take it all apart tomorrow. Twat
Yeah shouldn't take long just so demoralising when you think you've beaten something and you got to do half of it againAt least moving it should be easier

Nice. Do you find it ok to use on the dangle or would it be better fixed? Can’t beat a clamshell for rehandling bulky crap.
This is a dump site from three years ago getting consolidated to make more room. Also great for loading a dumper with pulled root balls. View attachment 69503View attachment 69504
fixed gives better control/bite, but probably better dangling with a loading clamNice. Do you find it ok to use on the dangle or would it be better fixed?
It’s all loose so large dangle mount loading clam is the order of the day.that's a loading clam .. good for loose materials ...
would get even better results with a digging clam - more closing power/bite ...
or rough it all up a bit with a tooth/ripper/toothed bucket first, although you do seem to be getting a good 'mouthful' there TBF

How’s your mate getting on with the roofing? Has he asked for his job back yet?!Playing with conveyors getting 16 ton of some recycled free draining fill in to start filling to slab level.
Cable drum supports working well, makes moving it across levels etc on your own easy but at 67kg a conveyor they’re not fun on your own wrestling them into position
CCTV on phone handy to monitor the pile at end I couldn’t see lol
He's seen how much fun you're having with those conveyors and is angling to come backHe’s texted twice saying ‘no hard feelings?’ I’ve not replied
Id definitely prefer to be on diggers and terrafirma than f****ng about up on a roof this time of year. He's seen how much fun you're having with those conveyors and is angling to come back
Definitely... people don't realise groundworks is easy work by comparison to some tradesId definitely prefer to be on diggers and terrafirma than f****ng about up on a roof this time of year.

Surprised you haven’t gone beam and block with that build up? Not my favourite way of doing it mind!Playing with conveyors getting 16 ton of some recycled free draining fill in to start filling to slab level.
