All that sat/sun working is behind us, with the efficient kit we have now and the amount of time we've been at it if I have to work sat (other than in an exception) then jobs not working out properly.....in fact friday is beginning to feel a lot like saturday did !

pollarding 30 year old hedge , ready for in filling and some TLC
TMK shear , hired in for the weekend from NCD equipment
Drain on the other side so steady going
Was hoping for some dry weather before the hedge maintenance season ends but no luck buckets of rain again last night to make sure i churn up the ground properly !

Those overhead lines are 11Kv 3 phase - definitely be careful around them (if a branch crosses the phases you’ll know about it!…)

yes those are the big guys , they are a lot further away than they look on the photo , I got some good advice in the other thread on the pole that actually is close

Gone through some underground whoppers over the years, very close to knocking half of derby off once.. pecking around the old tram lines and found huge red twisty HV (which we were replacing) was meant to be about 1m deep… it was barely 300mm down, and my pecker is 450mm long (honest) how I didn’t destroy half my machine and everyone stood around I don’t know!
