interesting first post Boyo ... what do you do with yon weapons?I actually bought a second hand XC7sr07 xcmg skid steer (branded UHI) at a good price here in Australia and it seems overall to be a well built machine - although it is clearly not up the same the standards of my Chinese Sany excavator which as far as I can tell is basically of a comparable quality to a Japanese machine.
What has shaken my confidence in the machine though is the fact that I have had a fair bit of stretch in the longer drive chain and the machine doest have any way to adjust chain tension. Really don't like that design to be honest. They say in their literature that they have used a heavy duty chain that won't stretch so much that you would need to adjust it but that's not true in my experience.
Do they want to make money selling people replacement drive chains?
So far I think not all Chinese machines are equal. The 5 ton Sany I have has been excellent so far and it did 2500 hours with the previous owner. The Sany isnt a crazy amount cheaper then an equivalent Japanese excavator (I think about 15 to 20 percent) so I suppose it's not that surprising.
For me buying second hand I think it was a great depreciation-bargain.
I'll now try to fabricate a chain tensioner system or I'll sell the xcmg and get an older skid steer made by case probably
