JCB 8018 CTS Squeaky left Tracks???

I've added grease to the one nipple I can see but this left track still squeaks like a mofo. Any ideas?
I'll try a post a video a bit later...

Either the idler or a track roller on the way out. Slacken track tension (ideally remove tracks) and wiggle rollers to find the culprit.

Usually not greasable, the nipple you added to- was there a lot of resistance? That's most likely the track tensioner, it's a grease piston that pushes the idler out.

Yep it will be the idler bearing giving up, My Yanmar was doing exactly the same, When i got the track off the idler was shot, I also found the bottom rollers were in poor shape too so just bit the bullet and replaced the lot. I am not sure if you can press the bearings out and change them even if you can by the time you have spent time doing it a new idler would not be much more expensive.

So I've learned another thing the hard way, don't grease that track nipple
Guessing I've pushed out that cylinder (if there is one) to the max and now it's stuck or damaged.
The track is really tight!!
Tried banging it back in but no luck, sounds worse than it was as banging on rubber track didn't do much.
I don't travel too much with my digger and it's getting into winter here in Sweden so I think I'll winterize my digger and tackle this in the spring as I don't have a warm workshop garage for my digger.

Undo the grease nipple (or the big nut it’s attached to) and the grease will come out releasing the tension in the track.

I did that and no grease came out.
To b sure I left the nipple off for a few days, drove around a bit but still nothing.
Now it's back on, and the track still super tight

try lifting that side of the machine and tracking it back and fore .. pushed the slider out of its capture/guides possibly take the weight off it - you might get lucky

The nipple itself might be screwed into a bigger threaded one-way valve that needs backing off - could be something like a 27mm nut.
